Our purpose is to enhance the executive management capacity of our membership for the purpose of fostering effective governing and supporting local governments.

 

While endeavoring to accomplish the above, Maryland Black Mayors strives to collectively address economic and youth development, education, politics, and other citizen concerns, that empower leaders to share resources and impact issues unique to diverse communities.

THE MBM ACHIEVES ITS GOALS BY:

• Providing innovative technical, executive and management assistance to local municipal leaders through best practices.

• Encouraging strategic partnerships with business, non-profit and government sectors.

• Developing strategic research and historical resources for the public.

• Encouraging youth development through educational outreach and programmatic solutions.

• Providing leadership development and scholarship opportunities.

• Developing effective programs and research to address social, economic and health disparities.
